461 Ocean Boulevard
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
461 Ocean Boulevard is a July of 1974 (see 1974 in music) album by blues rocker Eric Clapton. His first album after quitting heroin and his second after the dissolution of Derek & the Dominoes, Clapton was under a lot of pressure during the recording of 461 Ocean Boulevard. He succeeded though, and the album received rave reviews upon its release. Though some noted the lack of experimentation and a perceived stagnation in his growth as an artist, listeners and many critics sincerely enjoyed the record.
461 Ocean Boulevard was a #1 hit on Billboard's Pop Albums chart.
