The CorpKnowPedia project is committed to building a database of information pertaining to corporations. While the basic inspiration for this project was simple curiosity, a driving force is the desire to track the global behavior of corporations.

All material in CorpKnowPedia is under GFDL to make sure that the information stays free and can be included in similar minded projects such as Consumerium and Consumerpedia.

The very basic information desired includes the following:

  • Who owns who
  • History
  • Who the executives are
The goal is to provide consumers with the most basic information regarding their purchasing power.
