Fingal is an administrative county part of the historic county of County Dublin in the Republic Ireland. It was set up on January 1st, 1994 with the abolition of Dublin County Council, and covers the area north of Dublin City to the west of River Liffey and east to the Irish Sea.

Fingal is the fifth largest local authority area in Ireland by population. Important centres in Fingal include Balbriggan, Castleknock, Howth, Malahide, Mulhuddart and Swords.
