Flores is a department of Uruguay. It has a population of 25,000, with 20,000 of these living in the capital, Trinidad.

Outside Trinidad, Flores is agricultural, primarily raising cattle for export. Gauchos, the South American cowboys, still ride the plains. Flores has kept its traditions while taking the best of technology.
