Gnoppix
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Gnoppix (also GNOPPIX) is a Linux distribution, which is a LiveCD. Gnoppix can be fully executed from the CD or DVD. It can also be installed to the hard disk and booted from there, like any other normal Linux distribution.
Gnoppix is based upon Gnobian. Its main feature is a more recent version of GNOME for Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 (woody release), which only carries a 1.x version. It is comparable to Knoppix but uses the GNOME 2.4 environment. GNOME is part of the GNU project; KDE is not.
