Iron Maiden is the name for a band from east London, England which was formed in 1975. This group is considered to be one of the most influential in the Heavy Metal music genre. Iron Maiden is led by Steve Harris (born March 12, 1957 in Leytonstone, London, England; bass), formerly a member of the rockers Smiler.
