Editorial Review:
Amazon.co.uk Review: Still driving people mad around seven years--yes, seven!--after his landmark Pop Idol win (it's almost enough to make you dewy-eyed for the early days of the Simon Cowell TV talent franchise), mainly by refusing to be typecast as a one, or two, or three (etc.) hit wonder and continuing to be so alarmingly consistent, Will Young returns with Let It Go, his fourth--yes, fourth!--album. Of course he's never quite so bold as to actually be alarming; it's easy listening, wholesome, modern soul-lite pop all the way from the former politics graduate, kind of like George Michael without the underlying tension, clawing requirement to prove himself or mind-boggling tabloid scandals. Any of that would just serve to muddy Will's waters unnecessarily, there's purity here like a ripple on the surface of a crystal lake that rebounds languidly to and fro across these 13 tracks, one that is reflected in and a necessary backdrop for his suave, mildly textured and famously powerful voice. There is the sense that he still might not be using it to its full potential as he sounds so comfortable throughout. –-James Berry

This album is just BEAUTIFUL. There is a perfect mix of slow/ mid-tempo& upbeat numbers. But the stand out thing throughout the album is Wills faultless vocal prowess. His voice is just spinetingling in its smoothness and purity.
Our best British live male artist as well. Go & see him on tour & you will be blown away.

I rate Will Young's fourth album "Let It Go" as his best yet, I loved Friday's Child and was equally pleased with Keep On, but this album is in danger of wearing away, I just love every song on it, but "Grace" "Won't Look Down" "Tell Me The Worst" "I Wont Give Up" and "Love" are my favourites so far. But I'll not bore you with long explanations about every track, you'll soon find out for yourselves after the first listen, just how good this album is.

This washes over you, or rather passes you by, like luke warm used bath water. Surely it is time to call a halt to Young's career. Any more of this kind of manufactured pap and we are in danger of losing the grasp of god music forever!

I expected at least more of Will's 'Keep On' (5*), but this is wartery blue eyed soul lite. I kept thinking Daryl Hall could have done so much better but there are only 3 or 4 songs he would consider, and his albums are hardly essential. I find it a chore to listen to, but Keep On was so good I feel I owe it one or two more.

Beautiful, just beautiful. Can't wait to see Will perform these songs live next weekend.
